Change is not always good. The last 5 Series was a perfect design. Simple,
clean, very stylish and the product of continued styling refinement since
the model was first introduced in the mid-seventies. This unnecessary
redefinition of BMW style will sell to status seekers because of the
"Emperor's New Clothes" effect. Looking
past the prestige badge (and the brilliant engineering) we have a car
that is neither trendy, nor classic, so will never appeal. With the exception
of the new 6 coupe, all of these new Bangle BMWs represent change for
change's sake and not much more.
